At ElixRank, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our AI SEO service.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways:

  • Account Data: When you register, we collect your name and email address.
  • Connected App Data: If you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access (webmasters.readonly) to your property URLs, keywords, click data, and impressions. This data is synced to provide you with insights. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Security settings.
  • Usage Data: We log your conversations with the AI, project settings, and generated reports.
  • Tracking & Analytics: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, and interactions on our platform (via PostHog).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the ElixRank service.
  • Generate personalized SEO strategies, audits, and PSEO plans.
  • Process transactions and send related information (handled securely by Stripe).
  • Improve our AI models and service functionality (Note: We do not use your private GSC data to train generic AI models).
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and provide customer support.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share necessary data with trusted third parties solely to operate our service. Our key sub-processors include:

  • Supabase: For database hosting and user authentication.
  • LLM Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic): User prompts and necessary GSC context are sent to AI providers to generate responses. We have opted out of data training. These providers are restricted from using your data to train, fine-tune, or improve their foundation models. All AI processing is ephemeral.
  • DataForSEO: For retrieving search volume and keyword difficulty metrics based on public domain data.
  • Stripe / LemonSqueezy: For secure payment processing. We never store your full credit card details.
  • PostHog: For product analytics to understand how users interact with our app.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your GSC data for as long as your account is active (3 months historical for Free, up to 16 months for Pro). If you disconnect your Google account or delete your ElixRank account, your associated GSC data is permanently deleted from our servers.
